Pharmacies with no Covid negative result of its shopkeepers made to shut down
Imphal: Pharmacies having no Covid-19 negative test result have been made to shut down in Imphal West district of Manipur.
Manipur chief minister appreciated the government machineries in checking pharmacies if they posses Covid-19 negative result.
“Well done Imphal West team…Our Imphal West district administration team and Imphal West police teams have started checking whether the pharmacies have their Covid negative test results,” Biren writes on his Facebook wall.
Except for few shops, most pharmacies have their Covid negative results. Those without Covid negative results have been made to closed down, the chief minister said.
“I appreciate the cooperation of our pharmacy owners in this fight against Covid. Stay safe and maintain SoP,” he added.
Pharmacies, workshops and approved category of shops were made mandatory to get the shopkeepers and the persons manning the shops tested and produce the negative test report for Covid-19 on or before June 8.
The test results are required to be shown while enquired for production by the police and district administration failing which the permission for opening of such shops and establishment shall be withdrawn, deputy commissioner Imphal West Th. Kirankumar said in an order issued on Friday.
