10 more lives lost to Covid-19

Imphal: Even if Covid-19 positivity rate dropped to 8.1 percent on Thursday 10 Covid patients passed away in 24 hours in Manipur.

Out of 9008 Covid-19 test result 730 samples were found positive.

The Covid-19 victims belonged to Imphal West (6), Thoubal (2), Imphal East (1) and Churachandpur (1).

The cumulative number of deaths is 925, state Covid-19 common control room said.

The positive cases were from Imphal East (160), Imphal West (225), Thoubal (101), Bishnupur (48), Kakching (55), Ukhrul (5), Churachandpur (87), Chandel (3), Senapati (13), Tamenglong (10), Tengnoupal (1), Kamjong (1), Pherzawl (1), Jiribam (13) and Noney (7).

“Today, 668 persons were discharged, out of which 505 are from home isolation, 20 are from RIMS (11) and JNIMS (9) and the rest 143 are from other Covid care facilities,” the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 58,081. The number of active cases is 9,359. The recovery rate is 82.29 percent, the control room added.

It said in the last 24 hours, a total of 1345 D-type oxygen cylinders and 521 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

As per the latest information 452635 persons have been vaccinated so far.
