Manipur has 3500 oxygen cylinders, 2205 oxygen concentrators

Imphal: Manipur currently has 3500 oxygen filled cylinders and 2205 oxygen concentrators in stock, says Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh.

“With immense support from the people of Manipur, we have been able to increase the number of oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators within a very short period of time. From requesting private firms to donate cylinders to government in the initial days of second wave to having procured over 3500 cylinders and 2205 oxygen concentrators in just one and half months, the state government has come a long way,” Biren writes on his Facebook wall.

Biren thanked the India office of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for donating 29 oxygen concentrators, 1100 Face Shields, 1000 Goggles, 1000 Aprons, 1000 hand sanitisers, 6000 N95 masks & 1500 3PLY masks for Manipur.

“We have received these items at Manipur Bhavan, Guwahati. These items will be of great help for our frontline warriors,” Biren said.

Biren also thanked the Doctors for You, a humanitarian organisation based in Mumbai, for donating 15000 high quality PPE Kits, 15000 face shields and 250 oximeters for the state through the Manipur Bhavan in New Delhi.

“These items will be of great help for our frontline warriors. This consignment was flown in by an IAF C-17 Globemaster aircraft today,” he said.
