Imphal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Imphal district committee distributed essential medical kits to the party mandal (Assembly Constituency) presidents of eight Assembly Constituencies to help the needy.
The medical items were distributed as a part of the ‘Seva hi Sangathan’ (organisation means service) organised in connection with the 7th anniversary of Modi led government.
The distribution programme was organised at the office quarter of MLA, Konthonthoujam assembly constituency, S. Ranjan at Lamphel, Imphal West on Saturday.
The essential medical kits include oximeter, hand sanitizers, face cover and hand gloves.
It was told that mandal president will be handing over the medical kits to needy persons of Sekmai, Lamshang, Konthoujam, Patsoi, Langthabal, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa, Wangoi and Mayang Imphal.
General secretary of BJP state unit, S. Premananda Meitei said distribution of essential items to the needy has been continuing as a part of celebration of 7th anniversary of Modi led government instead of celebrating by organising grand functions and merriment.
Giving assistance to the needy persons will be continuing as a part of ‘Seva hi Sangathan’, he added.
