Covid-19 recovered cases exceed positive cases

Imphal: While as Covid-19 claimed 16 lives 459 persons were found positive for the contagion and 499 Covid patients were recovered in Manipur in 24 hours.

Manipur Covid-19 common control room on Monday said in the past twenty-four hours, 459 persons were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases. The positive cases from general population are from Imphal East (39), Imphal West (136), Thoubal (77), Bishnupur (78), Kakching (29), Ukhrul (26), Churachandpur (22), Chandel (10), Senapati (9), Tamenglong (10), Tengnoupal (7), Kangpokpi (7), Pherzawl (2) and CAPF (7).

All necessary medical confirmed measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.

On Monday the recovery rate was 8.7 percent.

In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported 16 Covid-19 deaths. The district wise distributions are Imphal West (4), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (I) and Churachandpur (3). The facility wise distributions are RIMS (2), JNIMS (6), Shija Hospital (5) and DH Churachandpur (3). The cumulative number of deaths is 990, the control room said.

A total of 499 persons were discharged, out of which 336 are from home isolation, 30 are from RIMS (24) and JNIMS (6) and the rest 133 are from other Covid care facilities, it added.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 60,311. The number of active cases is 8,443. The recovery rate is 84.35 percent, the control room said.

A total of 1451 D-type oxygen cylinders and 413 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur in 24 hours.

District hospitals and government institutions have 333D,64B filled cylinders out of these Bishnupur (51D,9B), Chandel (31D,7B), Churachandpur (51D,OB), Senapati (32D,OB), Thoubal (74D,19B), Ukhrul (17D,OB), Tamenglong (15D,5B), Jiribam (34D,2B), Moreh(5D,1B), Kamjong (3D,1B), Kangpokpi (5D,OB), Kakching (7D,18B), Noney(2D,OB) and Pherzawl (6D,2B), the Covid-19 control room said.

Air passengers who travelled to the state on June 12 by Air India AI-889 in rows 16-22 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room at 1800-345-3818 or respective district surveillance officers for further surveillance and necessary testing, it added.

So far 467403 persons have been vaccinated.
