Imphal: In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported 12 Covid 19 deaths in Manipur.
The 12 victims belonged to Imphal West (7), Imphal East (2), Kakching (I), Bishnupur (1) and Churachandpur (1).
The cumulative number of deaths has hit 1033 in the state.
Out of 5842 sample results 603 were confirmed positive on Friday.
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal East (119), Imphal West (187), Thoubal (43), Bishnupur (44), Kakching (58), Ukhrul (27), Churachandpur (78), Chandel (11), Senapati (2), Tamenglong (17), Tengnoupal (1), Kangpokpi (2), Kamjong (1), Noney (2), Jiribam (8) and CAPF (3).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
“Today IDSP, Manipur reported 18 cases of Delta variant of Covid-l9 in the state. Due epidemiological measure, are already taken up. Further the report too emphasizes the importance of adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour to prevent spread to others,” it added.
A total of 447 Covid patients were discharged, out of which 324 wee from home isolation, 15 from RIMS (13) and JNIMS (2) and the rest 108 were from other Covid care facilities.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 62,946. The number of active cases is 9,246. The recovery rate is 83.67 percent, the control room said.
It said in the last 24 hours, a total of 1665 D-type oxygen cylinders and 414 B- type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur. District Hospitals and Government institutions have 465D, 1060 filled cylinders out of these Bishnupur (106D,OB), Chandel (30D,78), Churachandpur (88D,OB), Senapati (49D,OB), Thoubal (58D,34B), Ukhrul (34D,15B), Tamenglong (24D,12B), Jiribam (36D,13B), Moreh (15D,1B), Kamjong (30,18), Kangpokpi (4D,OB), Kakching (10D,21B), Noney(2D,OB), Phernwl (6D,2B) CCC 195D, in CCCs, 61B filled cylinders were made available on Friday.
Latest information said so far 485122 individuals have been vaccinated in Manipur.
