Imphal: Covid-19 has infected 592 more persons and took lives of six persons in a day in Manipur.
The positivity rate was 10.1 percent.
The new positive cases were from Imphal East (102), Imphal West (160), Thoubal (64), Bishnupur (57), Kakching (65), Ukhrul (10), Churachandpur (38), Chandel (1), Senapati (8), Tamenglong (6), Tengnoupal (47), Kangpokpi (29), Kamajong (1) Jiribam (1) and CAPF (3).
The six death cases belonged to Imphal West (1), Imphal East (3) and Kakching (2).
A total of 294 persons were discharged, of them 170 were from home isolation, nine were from RIMS (5) and JNIMS (4) and the rest 115 were from other Covid Care facilities.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 63,538. The number of active cases is 9,538. The recovery rate is 83.35 percent, state Covid-19 common control room said.
A cumulative number of 489577 persons have been vaccinated so far in Manipur.
