Mason found dead

Imphal: One mason was found dead on Monday in a rented room located at Pureiromba Leikai, Imphal East.

The deceased has been identified as one Ajoy Majumdar son of Abhinash Majumdar of Kaptanpur part-1, Lakhipur, Assam.

He was staying in the rented house owned by one Maibam Sanatombi Singh.

The deceased had been staying in the rented house and was working for a construction in Bishnupur. He had been staying in the rented room alone and he was found dead on Monday morning in the room. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained, police said.

A team of Porompat police station and forensic team went to the spot an recovered the body and admitted at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences morgue.

A case has been registered at Porompat police station for further investigation.
