‘Avoid spreading rumours against vaccination’

Imphal: Rumours on negative impact of Covid-19 vaccination should not be spread as early vaccination will prevent from corona virus infection.

MLA H. Dingo Singh said this during a tree plantation programme held at the campus of Sardar Patel High School in connection with the celebration of ‘Balidan Diwas’ and birth anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on Wednesday.

Dingo who is the co-convenor of Joint Committee of Covid-19, Sekmai said medical experts reported that the up-coming third wave of the pandemic would be more communicable than second wave.

People should get early vaccination as it will prevent from severe impact from the virus infection. Some people are spreading rumours to avoid vaccination. People should get early vaccination, he said and appealed not to believe in rumours.

He said mobile RAT testing has been conducting in the Sekmai Assembly Constituency and will be continuing for the entire population of the Constituency.

Dingo said mobile vaccination will be launched at Kanglatongbi Hindi Higher Secondary School on June 25 and will be cover other villages of Sekmai constituency as it continues.

Aabout 400 tree saplings were planted at the school campus. Floral tributes were paid on the photograph of Shyama Prasad Murkherjee.

The plantation will leave a message for the future generation to save environment, Dingo said. He appealed the people to plant at least a tree and to nurture it properly in order to save the environment against global warming.
