Imphal: Covid-19 has taken 12 more lives in a day even as 578 Covid patients were recovered and discharged in Manipur.
A total of 508 persons were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases, state Covid-19 common control room said on Thursday.
The positive cases belonged to Imphal East (116), Imphal West (198), Thoubal (28), Bishnupur (38), Kakching (42), Ukhrul (13), Churachandpur (34), Chandel (7), Senapati (3), Tamenglong (11), Tengnoupal (1), Jiribam (1), Noney (1), Kangpokpi (7) and CAPF (8).
In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported 12 Covid-19 deaths. The district-wise distributions are Imphal West (1), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (2), Jiribam (1) and Churachandpur (1). The cumulative number of deaths is 1162, the control room said.
A total of 578 persons were discharged from Home Isolation (251), RIMS (13), JNIMS (9), CCCs (117) and CHICs (188).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 70,298.The number of active cases is 5,930. The recovery rate is 89.91 percent, the control room said.
It said In the last 24 hours, a total of 1495 D-type oxygen cylinders and 359 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
On Wednesday 18993 persons were vaccinated. The cumulative number of people vaccinated is 666625 (1st dose 582280 and 2nd dose 84345).
