Imphal: Covid-19 has taken 14 more lives and infected 863 persons in a single day as reported on Tuesday in Manipur.
In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported 14 Covid 19 deaths. The district wise distributions are Imphal West (2), Imphal East (5), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (1) and Kangpokpi (2), Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (120), Imphal West (298), Thoubal (71), Bishnupur (73), Kakching (96), Ukhrul (10), Churachandpur (72), Chandel (16), Senapati (9), Tamenglong (16), Teng,noupal (27), Kamjong (1), Pherzawl (3), Noney (15), Jiribam (2), Kangpokpi (9) and CAPF (25).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The cumulative number of deaths is 1218, that of positive cases is 73,581. The number of active cases is 6,231. The recovery rate is 89.87 percent, the control room said.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1967 D-type oxygen cylinders and 485 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
On Monday 30476 persons were vaccinated. The cumulative doses given is 769107 (1st dose 681679 and 2nd dose 87428).
