Deben is new JNIMS director

Imphal: Prof. Laishram Deben Singh has been appointed as director of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat, Imphal.

Principal secretary, health and family welfare V. Vumlunmang in the name of president JNIMS Society issued the appointment order on Wednesday.

“The President of the Governing Council, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) Society, Porompat, Imphal is pleased to appoint Prof. Laishram Deben Singh as Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat, Imphal by direct recruitment under Rule 9 (4) of the JNIMS Service Rules, 2015 and Schedule-I, Extent of powers No. 23 of Bye Law of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, 2015-16, with immediate effect,” the order said.

This appointment shall be on contract basis for a period of three years or till further orders, whichever is earlier, it added.
