Imphal: Teachers’ association (TA), Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Science (JNIMS) appreciated chief minister N. Biren Singh and president JNIMS Society for approving 7th Revision of Pay (ROP) and appointing of ‘deserving’ candidate to be director of JNIMS.
A press note issued by president and joint secretary, JNIMS Dr H. Kulabidhu Singh and Dr N. Kumarjit respectively expressed gratitude for selecting a deserving and experienced internal (JNIMS) candidate to the director of JNIMS.
The association appreciated the government for approving implementation of 7th ROP recommendation in JNIMS by the state Cabinet.
Laishram Deben Singh who has been appointed as director of JNIMS has served the medical institute since the last nine years as professor and head of department, Physiology. He was also appointed as director for two years in 2015 to 2017.
The teachers’ association pledged to cooperate with the new director in all possible ways for overall development of JNIMS.
