Assam Rifles continues to promote Go Green Initiative

Imphal: ​Chandel Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted tree plantation drive in Pallel and Modi on Monday towards promoting “Go Green Initiative”.

The tree plantation drive was conducted with the aim to control the global warming, make environment pollution free and spread awareness on the importance of clean environment.

As part of the initiative, nurseries were constructed and saplings of various trees were planted. The drive has spread a sense of responsibility and care towards environment amongst the locals and the troops.
