Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday confirmed 1104 fresh Covid-19 positive cases out of 7594 samples test results released on this day resulting to positivity rate of 14.5 percent.
A total of 583 cases were recovered in 24 hours. The state has active cases of 8210. The recovered cases were discharged from home Isolation (179), RIMS (8), JNIMS (5), CCCs (170) and CHICs (221).
With 17 deaths the cumulative number of deaths has reached 1326 in the state.The new death cases belonged to Imphal West (4), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1), Tengnoupal (1) and Churachandpur (4).
The new cases were from Imphal East (195), Imphal West (366), Thoubal (108), Bishnupur (67), Kakching (80), Ukhntl (6), Churachandpur (102), Chandel (10), Senapati (32), Tamenglong (66), Tengnoupal (9), Jiribam (6), Noney (33), Kamjong (1) Kangpokpi (12) and CAPF (11).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 80,521. The recovery rate is 88.15 percent, the control room said.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1802 D-type oxygen cylinders and 435 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
A total of 31086 were vaccinated on Tuesday. The cumulative doses was 921729 (1st dose of 822355 and 2nd dose of 99374).
The number of patients as on Tuesday admitted/adjusted against available bed strengths in different treatment facilities in the state are RIMS (213/224), JNIMS (231/286), I Land Hospital (30/60), District Covid Facilities (140/332), MSF (29/30), Private Covid Hospitals (227/360) and CCCs (1417/2946). The grand total of admitted patients is 2287 and number of beds available is 1951, the control room said.
