Imphal: Somsai battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) celebrated *75th year of Indian Independence * Bharat ka Amrut Mahotsav at British English School, Poi in Ukhrul district on Thursday.
The event was organised with the aim to inculcate national solidarity amongst children. As part of the event an “Essay Writing Competition” was organised at Bright English School, Poi village for approximately 100 children adhering to all covid protocols, the Assam Rifles said.
The event also witnessed participation from Youth organisations, women associations and Church communities of Poi village alongwith troops of Assam Rifles with full enthusiasm and national fervour.
