Imphal: A total 928 fresh Covid-19 cases were confirmed out of 5555 test results indicating 16.7 percent positivity rate in Manipur on Thursday.
Twelve Covid-19 related deaths were reported. Three each belonged to Kangpokpi, Imphal East and Imphal West, two to Bishnupur and one to Thoubal.
The cumulative number of Covid deaths so far in the state was 1436.
The new positive cases were from Imphal East (256), Imphal West (284), Thoubal (54), Bishnupur (79), Kakching (55), Ukhrul (3), Churachandpur (102), Chandel (23), Senapati (11), Tamenglong (26), Tengnoupal (3), Jiribam (5), Noney (3), Pherzawl (2) Kamjong (15) and CAPF (7).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
“Out of 12 deaths, 7 persons had co-morbidities. Out of 12 death, none of them were vaccinated,” it added.
A total of 868 patients were recovered and discharged from home isolation (362), RIMS (6), JNIMS (15), CCCs (209) and CI-IIC-s (276). The recovery rate was 86.70 percent.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 88,978 and the number of active cases is 10,395.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1644 D-type oxygen cylinders and 346 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
As on Wednesday a cumulative number of 1111138 vaccine doses (1st dose of 979896 and 2nd dose of 131242) had been administered.
