1037 Covid-19 patients recovered

Imphal: In Manipur, a total of 1037 Covid-19 patients were recovered and discharged on Monday while 989 persons were confirmed positive for the disease and nine patients expired.

The recovered patients were discharged from home isolation (525), RIMS (43), JNIMS (14), CCCs (169) and CHICs (286).

The new positive cases were from the general population are from Imphal East (255), Imphal West (209), Thoubal (136), Bishnupur (115), Kakching (43), Ulchrul (12), Churachandpur (57), Chandel (91), Senapati (21), Tamenglong (23), Tengnoupal (3), Kangpokpi (2), Pherrawl (2) Jiribam (18) and CAPF (2).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The death cases belonged to Imphal West (3), Imphal East (2), Bishnupur (1), Kangpokpi (1) and Churachandpur (2).

The cumulative number of deaths was 1487.

“Out of 9 deaths, 6 persons had co-morbidities. Out of 9 deaths, none of them were vaccinated,” the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 93,656. The number of active cases is 10,524. The recovery rate is 87.17 percent, the control room said.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 2160 D-type oxygen cylinders and 463 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

As on Sunday a cumulative dose of 1205743 Covid vaccine (1st dose of 1039214 and 2nd dose of 166529) have been administered in the state.
