1226 Covid-19 patients recovered, 765 tested positive, 14 expired

Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday recorded recovery of 1226 Covid-19 patients while 765 persons were confirmed as new cases.

The recovery rate has climbed up at 89.52 percent.

The recovered cases were discharged from home isolation (633), RIMS (16), JNIMS (18), CCCs (225) and CHICs (334).

The new positive cases were from Imphal East (149), Imphal West (285), Thoubal (51), Bishnupur (100), Kakching (22), Ukhrul (5), Churachandpur (65), Chandel (16), Senapati (8), Tamenglong (19), Tengnoupal (7), Jiribam (2), Noney (1), Pherzawl (6), Kamjong (11), Kangpokpi (16) and CAPF (2).

The positivity rate was 14.4 percent.

The death cases belonged to Imphal West (4), Imphal East (1), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (2), Chandel (I), Kangpokpi (2), Ulchrul (1) and Churachandpur (2).

The cumulative number of deaths was 1606.

“Out of 14 deaths, 10 persons had co-morbidities. Out of 14 deaths, only 3 of them were vaccinated (1st dose),” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said .

The cumulative number of positive cases was 101,390 and the number of active cases was 9,015.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 2259 D-type oxygen cylinders and 363 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

Till Tuesday 1347537 vaccines (1st dose of 1123637 and 2nd dose of 223900) have been administered.
