Imphal: One fully vaccinated person and another 1st dose vaccinated person were among 10 Covid-19 related death cases in Manipur as reported on Wednesday.
“Out of 10 deaths, 8 persons had co-morbidities, 1 of them had 1st dose of Covid vaccine and 1 of them had 2nd dose of Covid vaccine, ” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The death cases belonged to Imphal West (3), Imphal East (3), Bishnupur (3) and Churachandpur (1).
The cumulative number of deaths was 1674.
Out of 4954 test samples a total of 606 persons were confirmed positive for the contagion at the positivity rate of 12.2 percent.
The fresh cases were from Imphal East (89), Imphal West (267), Thoubal (29), Bishnupur (74), Kalcching (24), Ukhrul (20), Churachandpur (46), Chandel (20), Senapati (5), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (6), Jiribam (4), Noney (I), Pherzawl (9) and Kangpokpi (7).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
“Today, 723 persons were discharged. They are from Home Isolation (360), RIMS (30), JNIMS (7), CCCs (165) and CH. (161), ” the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,06,030. The number of active cases is 6,857. The recovery rate is 91.95 percent, it added.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1873 D-type oxygen cylinders and 412 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
The cumulative doses administered till Tuesday was 1414880 (1st dose of 1157377 and 2nd dose of 257503).
