Imphal: A team of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal led by its director L. Deben on Wednesday monitored Covid-19 wards at the hospital.
To encourage the medical staff who are doing duty at three Covid wards and to motivate Covid patients who are undergoing treatment at JNIMS, the JNIMS authority monitored the wards including red zones.
Head of department, Anaesthesia, Dr Thoibahenba and medical superintendent of JNIMS, Dr Kh. Lokeshware accompanied the director.
They interacted with Covid patients and the medical staff including doctors and nurses who are doing duty at Covid wards.
Deben said he monitored the Covid wards in order to aware the condition of the wards by himself and to give moral support to the patients who are undergoing treatment and the medical staff.
He appealed the doctors and nurses who are doing duty at the Covid wards to take care of the patients properly.
The doctors and nurses can contact him directly for any inconvenience met during the treatment whether it is for the medical staff or for the patients, he added.
