Imphal: Sub-inspector Moirangthem Priyadarshini Devi has been named for “Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation” for the year 2021.
The home ministry listed 152 police personnel for the medal constituted in 2018 which was constituted with the objective to promote high professional standards of investigation of crime and to recognize such excellence in Investigation by investigating officers.
“I am extremely happy to learn the information,” Priyadarshini told Pothashang.
She said everything was teamwork and said the credit goes to Manipur Police department specifically Kakching Police.
Priyadarshini is presently serving at Kakching Police station.
She is daughter of Moirangthem Joykumar Singh of Moirang Sribon Leikai and wife of Kshetrimayum Diamond Singh of Kakching Turel Wangma, Ningthou Pareng.
Priyadarshini joined state police in 2010.
Among the personnel receiving these awards, 15 are from CBI, 11 each from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra Police, 10 from Uttar Pradesh, 9 are from Kerala and Rajasthan Police, 8 are from Tamil Nadu Police, 7 are from Bihar, 6 each are from Gujarat, Karnataka and Delhi Police and the remaining from the other states and Union territories. These include twenty 28 women police officials, a PIB press release said on Thursday.
