Manipur witnesses Covid-19 recovery rate of 92.35 percent

Imphal: With the recovery of 573 Covid-19 patients the recovery rate has gone up to 92.35 percent in Manipur as on Saturday.

The recovered cases were discharged from home isolation(236), RIMS (17), JNIMS (19), CCCs (145) and CHICs (157).

Nine Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. “Out of 9 deaths, 8 persons had co-morbidities and 1 of them had 1st dose of Covid vaccine,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of deaths is 1700, it added.

It said in the past 24 hours, 439 persons were confirmed as new positive cases.

The positivity rate was 12.6 percent.

The positive cases were from Imphal East (88), Imphal West (164), Thoubal (14), Bishnupur (53), Kalcching (19), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (33), Chandel (1), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (1), Jiribam (2), Noney (5), Pherrawl (26), Kamjong (2), Kangpokpi (14) and CAPF (1).

The cumulative number of positive cases was 1,07,668 and the nunber of active cases was 6,528.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1529 D-type oxygen cylinders and 417 13-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur, the control room said.

Till Friday the cumulative doses of vaccine administered was 1435320 (1st dose of 1165747 and 2nd dose of 269573).
