Covid-19 recovery rate rises to 94.51 percent in Manipur

Imphal: Seven more died with Covid-19, 372 were tested positive for the contagion while 1570 Covid-19 patients were recovered in Manipur as reported on Friday.

The death cases belonged to Imphal West (2), Imphal East (1), Thoubal (1) and Bishnupur (3).

The cumulative number of deaths has gone up to 1739.

Manipur Covid-19 common control room said out of the deaths, four persons had co-morbidities and four of them had 1st doses of Covid vaccine.

The fresh positive cases were from Imphal East (73), Imp. West (131), Thoubal (17), Bishnupur (10), ICakching (II), Ukhrul (23), Churachandpur (47), Chandel (I), Senapati (13), Tamenglong (9), Jiribam (2), Pherzawl (2), Kamjong (30), Kangpokpi (2) and CAPF (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

The recovered cases were discharged from home isolation (200), RIMS (18), JNIMS (13), CCCs (148) and CHICs (99).

Due to various reasons, 1092 persons are reported as discharged cases only on Friday. Therefore, the total number of recovered cases is considered as 1570 after reconciliation with reports, the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,10,215. The number of active cases is 4,303. The recovery rate is 94.51 percent, the control room said.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1739 D-type oxygen cylinders and 357 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

Cumulative Covid vaccine administered in the state as on Thursday was 1467603 (1st dose of 1173931 and 2nd dose of 293672).
