Imphal: Due to vacancy of MLA seat of Lamlai Assembly Constituency most of the inter village roads and others in the constituency are in deplorable condition.
Highlighting this, co-opted member of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, Achoibam Deben urged chief minister N. Biren Singh to look into the matter for the welfare of the people in Lamlai Assembly Constituency.
Deben was speaking during the renovation work of road passing along Nongpok Heirok, Nongdam to Kangijingjin Khullen and Takhel to Tinsit road on Wednesday.
During the renovation work carried by Lamlai Block Congress Committee with the assistance of locals and highlighting the present road condition, Deben said due to vacant seat of local MLA the government has been neglecting to bring developmental works in the constituency.
People of the Assembly Constituency are facing various problems in addition with the worst condition of road during the monsoon season, he added.
