Manipur sees 2 Covid-19 related deaths, 272 new positive cases, 323 recoveries

Imphal: Manipur Covid-19 Common Control Room on Friday reported two Covid-19 related deaths which included a full vaccinated patient.

The control room said both the victims had co-morbidities and one of them had second dose of Covid vaccine.

They were from Imphal East and Thoubal.

The Covid-19 related death cases were 1,792 in the state as of this day.

The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (46), Imphal West (103), Thoubal (9), Bishnupur (26), Kakching (4), Ukhrul (20), Churachandpur (32), Chandel (6), Senapati (8), Tamenglong (4), Jiribam (1), Pherzawl (1), Kangpokpi (5) and CAPF (7).

“Today, 293 persons were discharged. They are from Home Isolation (144), RIMS (15), JNIMS (3), CCCs (94) and CHICs (37). Due to various reasons, 30 persons are reported as discharged cases only today. Therefore, the total number of recovered cases is considered as 323 …,” the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,14,774. The number of active cases is 3,267. The recovery rate is 95.59 percent.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1,017 D-type oxygen cylinders and 257 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

The cumulative doses of Covid vaccine administered as of Thursday were 15,46,343 (1st dose of 11,90,974 and 2nd dose of 3,55,369).
