Imphal: Principal in-charge of College of Nursing N. Nalinibala Devi has denied the allegations made by Apunba Ireipakki Maheroi Singpanglup that she is not qualified to be the principal.
Nalinibala said she has no idea who insisted the members of AIMS to issue the statement that she is not fit to be the principal of the college.
She was talking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, here, on Thursday.
Nalinibala said she has been working as a sister tutor on a regular basis at College of Nursing, Medical Directorate, Lamphelpat since 1981 after undergoing interview under the Medical Directorate.
She was appointed as vice-principal of the college in 2011 during the tenure of M. Kumodini as the principal, she added.
After the former principal of the college M. Kumodinin retired as the principal of the college in November 2020, she was appointed as the principal in-charge of the college along with the post of vice-principal, she added.
The student body on Wednesday demanded removal of principal of College of Nursing, Medical Directorate, Lamphelpat Nalinibala Devi from her post.
It claimed that Nalinibala is not qualified to be the principal of the college as per guidelines of Indian Nursing Council.
