BJP government suppresses people’s voice and media: Manipur PCC

Imphal: The BJP government suppresses the voice of the people and media in the state, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (Manipur PCC) president Loken said on Sunday during reception of the INC new member, N. Helendro Singh, who contested in the last state Assembly election.

“People have been waiting for the right time to overthrow the BJP government in the state. People will teach BJP a lesson in the upcoming state Assembly election,” Loken said.

Manipur PCC organised the reception ceremony of Helendro at Congress Bhavan, here.

Loken claimed that the more than four years old BJP government has not been able to complete and inaugurate different projects started by the previous Congress government in the state.

The state government as well as the BJP leaders at the Centre had made claims to improve the condition of Imphal- Jiri road (NH-37). People are aware of the present condition of the highway and the problems faced by the drivers plying along the road through media and social media, Loken said.

Helendro said Congress party will form a new government expressing hope that he will emerge victorious in the election from Yaiksul Assembly Constituency.
