Manipur Covid-19 status: 5 deaths, 208 positive, 545 recoveries

Imphal: Manipur on Friday witnessed five Covid-19 related deaths and 208 new positive cases with recovery of 545 Covid patients.

The victims were from Imphal East (2), Bishnupur (1) and Ukhrul (2).

The cumulative number of deaths in the state stood at 1826.

“Out of 5 deaths, 3 persons had co-morbidities and none of them had Covid vaccine,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The new positive cases belonged to Imphal East (39), Imphal West (92), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (8), Kakching (4), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (8), Chandel (3), Senapati (6), Tengnoupal (3), Pherzawl (3) Kangpokpi (5) and CAPF (23).

“Today, 241 persons were discharged. They are from home isolation (72), RIMS (15), JNIMS (12), CCCs (119) and CH1Cs (23). Due to various reasons, 304 persons are reported as discharged cases only today. Therefore, the total number of recovered cases is considered as 545…,” the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,18,121. The number of active cases is 2,272. The recovery rate is 96.53 percent, the control room said.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1151 D-type oxygen cylinders and 338 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

The cumulative doses of Covid 19 vaccine administered as on Thursday was 1616464 (1st dose of 1212520 and 2nd dose of 403944).
