Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh congratulated the six candidates from the state who had cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2020 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
The successful candidates from the state are Parikshit Thoudam (AIR-60), Waikhom Nydia Devi (AIR-180), Heikrujam Prasanjeet (AIR-578), Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu (AIR-621), Hatchinghoi Haokip (AIR-673) and Lourembam Nelson Mangangcha (AIR-757).
“The Manipuri youths have shown exemplary excellence not just in sports but also in the competitive exams of country’s premiere services. This year alone, 6 Manipuri youths have cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination and 15 boys have cleared SSB to join the country’s elite armed forces. The entire state is really proud of their achievements today,” Biren writes on his Facebook wall.
The chief minister expressed satisfaction on learning that Lourembam Nelson Mangangcha who secured 757th Rank in the examination is one of the aspirants sponsored under Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for Civil Services.
The state government launched the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for Civil Services Coaching on March 7, 2019 to provide scholarship and much needed support to deserving and meritorious Civil Services aspirants and help them realise their dreams.
“As we continue our efforts to empower the youths, the state government is committed to provide all necessary support for our youths in their respective fields,” Biren said.
