Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh on Wednesday said State Bank of India (SBI) is providing loans to another 25,000 individuals soon.
Expressing his happiness for providing loans to entrepreneurs, individuals, SHGs etc., in the state, Biren appreciated the bank and asked SBI to support the entrepreneurs and MSME sectors of the state.
He urged SBI officials to consider opening up their branches in hill and remote areas of the state.

On Tuesday a grand loan distribution mela, under North East Economic Revival Plan, was organised by the State Bank of India, Imphal Region at the chief minister’s secretariat on Tuesday. A total of 104 beneficiaries were provided loans with varying amounts of Rs 30,000 to Rs 5,00,000.
