Manipur reports 2 Covid-19 deaths, 167 positive cases, 119 recoveries


Imphal: Manipur on Sunday witnessed two Covid-19 related deaths, 167 new cases and 119 recoveries.

Both the death cases belonged to Imphal East. Both had co-morbidities and they were not vaccinated, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of deaths was 1862.

The new positive cases were from Imphal East (27), Imphal West (98), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (13), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (2), Senapati (2), Kamjong (2) and Kangpokpi (2).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,21,046. The number of active cases is 2,262. The recovery rate is 96.59 percent, the control room said.

In the last 24 hour, a total of 858 D-type oxygen cylinders and 271 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

The cumulative vaccine doses administered as on Saturday was 1718830 (1st dose of 1225774 and 2nd dose of 493056).

Vacant Covid-19 beds

Air passengers who travelled to the state on October 3 by indigo 6E-6358 (Kolkata to Imphal) in rows 22-28 are to informed the Common Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) for further surveillance and necessary quarantine and testing, the control room said.
