Two men with liquor fall in police hands early morning

Imphal: Imphal West Police commando of Manipur Police on Tuesday at 4:30 am nabbed two persons who were ferrying distilled indigenous country liquor at Iroishemba Mamang Leikai.
The two persons were found ferrying 380 litres of indigenous liquor in a van coming from Lamshang side towards Uripok when the police team stopped them.
They were the owner of the van ( blue, registration number MN 03 P 1270) who driving it, Ningthoujam Kishan Singh, 41, son of late N. Mukta Singh and the other one was Angom Jayenta Singh, 26, son of A. Merajao Singh, both from Phayeng Awang Leikai.
The recovered liquor will be handed over to Excise Lamphel for necessary action, police said.
