Wednesday Manipur sees 4 Covid-19 deaths, 159 positive cases, 102 recovered cases


Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday witnessed four Covid-19 related deaths, 159 new cases and 102 recovered cases.

The death cases belonged to Imphal West (2), Thoubal (1) and Senapati (I).

“Out of 4 deaths, 3 persons had co-morbidities, 2 of them had 1st dose of Covid vaccine and 2 were not vaccinated,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (42), Imphal West (82), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (12), Ukhotl (6), Churachandpur (9), Chandel (1), Senapati (2), Tamenglong (1), Kamjong (1) and Kangpokpi (1).

The cumulative number of deaths is 1875. The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,21,462. The number of active cases is 1,777. The recovery rate is 96.99 percent.

In the last 24 hour, a total of 802 D-type oxygen cylinders and 191 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

The cumulative vaccine doses administered was 1739798 (1st dose of 1228110 and 2nd dose of 511688).
