BJP will get absolute majority: Biren

Imphal: BJP will get the absolute majority in the upcoming Assembly election and form a better government, chief minister N. Biren Singh said on Friday.

Biren said this on the joining of prominent Congress figures like M. Prithiviraj and K. Govindas to BJP. Govindas, who was president of Manipur PCC, joined BJP on August 1.

Biren was addressing at a gathering of receiving former MLA and former general secretary of Manipur PCC Prithiviraj, as he joined BJP, in a function held at Hotel Classic Grande, here.

Biren lauded Prithiviraj’s entry and said it was all because of the positive changes brought by the people-oriented and friendly party.

The ideology, vision and fame brought for the country during the BJP regiment made many politicians choose BJP, Biren said.

Prithiviraj expressed his delight in joining BJP and assured to stick to the party ideology and serve the public.

It is indeed a proud moment of BJP as a Congress man joined BJP with trust to the party after witnessing people-oriented activities, BJP Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra said.

Manipur BJP president A. Sarda said joining such a prominent politician in the party clearly shows that the people trust the BJP.
