Assam Rifles distributes sports items

Imphal: Chassad battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) distributed sports items to Zingsho Tangkhul Student’s Union to promote ‘Khelo India’ as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on Tuesday.

An interaction with the youth of Zingsho Tangkhul Students was carried out during which the importance of participating and career opportunities in the field of sports as coaches and physical trainers were conveyed to them.

The efforts undertaken by the Assam Rifles in organising such events and assistance being provided to nurture the sports culture prevalent in the spirit of Manipur was deeply appreciated. The youth expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Assam Rifles.
