12 stolen luxury cars from Delhi recovered in Manipur


Imphal: Twelve luxury cars stolen from Delhi were recovered from different places of Manipur by a team of Delhi police with the support of Manipur police.

The Delhi police team was led by sub-inspector, Anuj Choudhary, a special staff south west district, New Delhi.

The team arrived Imphal on October 24 in connection with an e-FIR lodged at Crime Branch police station, Delhi on October 3.

The 12 stolen vehicles were 7 Toyota Fortuner all white in colour, 3 Hyundai Creta of white, black and grey in colours and other two vehicles.

They were recovered from different areas of Bishnupur district and Imphal West.

Most of the original engine and chassis numbers were found tampered and converted to different new numbers. The registration numbers of the vehicles were found converted to new registration numbers of Manipur starting with MN 02 and MN 03 serial numbers.

The recovered stolen vehicles will be taken back to Delhi and a notice has been served by the concerned police station of Manipur to the persons from whom stolen vehicles were recovered.
