Assam Rifles promotes water harvesting

Imphal: ​Loktak battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) conducted a lecture cum demonstration on Rain Water Harvesting at Sendra village, Bishnupur on Saturday.

​The lecture cum demonstration was conducted to generate awareness on Water Conservation and Recycling of Rain Water to cope up with the prevalent water scarcity in the region amongst local populace.

​The locals were informed about various aspects of rain water harvesting along with methods to enhance the ground water levels. Various means to save water including judicious usage of water for washing and cleaning etc were discussed.
