2 unvaccinated Covid-19 patients expired, 64 get positive


Imphal: Covid-19 has claimed two unvaccinated patients and infected 64 persons while 45 Covid patients were recovered in 24 hours in Manipur as reported on Wednesday.

The death cases belonged to Imphal West and Thoubal districts.

“Out of 2 deaths, 1 person had co-morbidities and none of them had vaccinated,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of deaths was 1940.

The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (9), Imphal West (44), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1), Churachandpur (2), Kangpokpi ( I) and Ukhrul (4).

The positivity rate was 2.9 percent.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,24,250. The number of active cases is 724. The recovery rate is 97.86 percent, the control room said.

The number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered on Tuesday was 7538. The cumulative doses was 2024700 ( 1st dose of 1255650 and 2nd dose of 769050).
