Rhythms of Manipur showcases Dancing Drummers at Green Summit

Imphal: Sixteen-member troupe of the Rhythms of Manipur presented mesmerising performance at the 6th North East Green Summit held at the Don Bosco School, Silchar.

The summit was held at the NIT Silchar from November 16 to 18. Forest and environment ministers of the North East and Union minister Ashwini Choubey attended the summit.

Many of the environmental influencers of the country were also attended the summit jointly organised by the department of commerce and industries, Assam; Don Bosco School, Silchar; Vibgyor NE Foundation; and National Institute of Technology Silchar.

At the cultural event of the Summit the Rhythms of Manipur troupe presented acclaimed music composition Dancing Drummers based on Langden drums and the instrumental version of the state song Sana Leibak Manipur for two days on November 17 and 18 evening before impressive crowds.

The Vayali Brothers from Kerala, local theatre and two bands presented their impressive performances.
