Union textile minister Piyush Goyal visits Imphal to strengthen BJP in Manipur

Imphal: Union minister of textiles Piyush Goyal has arrived Imphal on Saturday to supervise the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members of the party for the upcoming state Legislative Assembly election.

“I am 100 percent sure that BJP government will remain in power for the next five years and the party will enjoy the victory,” the union textile minister said.

Goyal addressing a felicitation programme held at the state party office located at Nityaipat Chuthek, here said it is the collective responsibility for each worker and member of the party including both state and the Centre to continue BJP government for another five years. He said the election is an exam for the politicians and each one should put more and extra effort into a massive victory in the coming election.

Chief minister N .Biren Singh, social welfare minister Th. Satyabrata Singh, works minister Th. Biswajit Singh, agriculture minister O. Lukhoi and state party president A. Sharda Devi attended the felicitation programme.

Manipur plays a major role in formation of the BJP led central government, and the BJP party will bring more development in the next five years in various fields including textiles, agriculture products fruits and others, he added.

In the last few years people have been witnessing various welfare developments brought by the BJP led government in various ways including highways of the state, he said.

To strengthen the party and to remain in power for another term members of the party need to work with cooperation and coordination, the union minister said.

The minister visited Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Linthoingambi Girl’s Hostel complex located at Mahaballi, Imphal East.
