Imphal: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba said many talented youths are emerging in the state of Manipur and they should utilise their potentials wisely to promote the state and the country instead of hunting for government jobs.
Sanajaoba was addressing at the inauguration of North Eastern Council funded facilities of two separate 100 bedded SC/ST hostel for boys and girls and one indoor basketball hall at National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Imphal (NIELIT) at Akampat, Imphal East on Friday.
He said youths can involve in politics and involving in politics do not mean that they should join political campaign or in political conference but they should know the political scenario of the state while electing a resourceful candidate.
Without the initiatives of people it is hard to bring a corruption free state or country. He said it is human nature that if a candidate put huge amount of money in election campaign, then after being elected they will start focusing to recollect money which was spent during the campaign by any means. To start taking initiatives on corruption free, people can start with the coming election by not taking any kind of financial assistance from any candidate, he added.
Students used to keep their ambition of being a doctor or engineer as professional career however, in the last few years students have started focusing on cracking civil service examination. Some potential students are unable to join coaching class for civil service examination due to financial problem. To give those students an opportunity the state government has taken an initiative of giving coaching class here in Imphal. About 1,600 students have been enrolled for the coaching class where 600 students were given online classes and 250 students were given offline classes, the MP said.
