New Year’s Day witnesses no Covid-19 death in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur on New Year’s Day reported no Covid-19 related death, 19 positive cases and 11 recovered cases.

The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (4), Imphal West (8), Thoubal (4) and Bishmpur (3).

The positivity rate was 2.1 percent. The cumulative number of deaths was 2002.

Necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

It said the clumdative number of positive cases is 1,25,807, nunber of active cases is 207 and the recovery rate is 98.24 percent.

The cumulative vaccine doses administered was 2316098 (1st dose of 1325023 and 2nd dose of 991075).
