Manipur PCC complains police against BJYM


Imphal: Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Thursday has urged the state police to take legal action against Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members allegedly against attack at the gate of MPCC office and assaulting Youth Congress and NSUI office bearers.

The general secretary (administration) of MPCC Hareshwar Goshwami in the complaint made to Imphal city police station said on Thursday at about 5 pm some 20/30 youths led by Barish Sharma, president, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) with deadly weapons like sticks, stones and unidentified tools attacked to the main gate of the MPCC and kicking, punching and pushing to Youth Congress and NSUI office bearers, who were silently standing at the office gate and shouting unparliamentary and use provocative slogans, as also torching effigies of national leaders in front of MPCC office, Imphal.

It urged the police to take legal action against Barish Sharma along with his associate members during the mob under section 110 CrPC, 34 Police Act and some others relevant of Indian Penal Courts.
