Imphal: Manipur Democratic Alliance (MDA) has warned Amra Bangali to withdraw its complaint demanding to squash the inner line permit regulation in Manipur by January.
The democratic alliance Manipur convenor M. Tombi said, “If Amra Bangali fails to withdraw their complaint from Supreme Court, MDA, with te support of people, will launch campaign to ban Bengali script in Manipur on February 1.”
Tombi told reporters here on Friday that with various movements and to safeguard the indigenous people of Manipur ILP regulation was implemented.
During the movements different protestors were assaulted by the police for carrying agitation, and even one student was killed during agitation, Tombi said.
MDA strongly condemned Amra Bangali for lodging a complaint at Supreme Court demanding to squash ILP regulation from Manipur, he added.
When ILP regulation was implemented in the state no any communities did not give any objection, but why Amra Bangali filed a complaint at Supreme Court, the political leader said.
