Congress suspends MLA Joykisan

Imphal: Indian National Congress has suspended MLA Khumukcham Joykisan from the political party, on Tuesday, on recommendation of Disciplinary Action Committee, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC).

An order issued by the MPCC general secretary (administration) Hareshwar Goshwami said he was suspended on the recommendation of Disciplinary Action Committee, MPCC.

The President, MPCC is pleased to suspend Kh. loykisan Singh from the Indian National Congress (INC) under Article XIX of the Constitution of the Indian National Congress readwith Clause (h) of ‘miscellaneous’ provided under Article XXVII of the said Constitution. On his suspension, Joykisan ceased to be a primary member of Indian National Congress with immediate effect, the order said.

The order did not mention the reason for his suspension.
