Manipur woman bags Mrs IAWA 1st Runner Up title

Imphal: RK Memme Thiyam, wife of RK SUNIL from Thangmeiband Polem leikai, who represented Manipur in Mrs. IAWA India 2021, conducted online during January 10 to 17, won the title of Mrs IAWA India 1st Runner’s up with a sub-title of Best Catwalk.

A total of 30 participants took part in the contest.

Participants were given 10 different tasks during the pageant grooming.

This pandemic has led everyone to connect once again with each other via internet. While most of the beauty pageant got cancelled/ postponed due to pandemic, Memme said.

IAWA India Beauty Pageant is a dynamic platform for both which encompasses an incredible voyage and gets to experience a pageant never like before, she added.

IAWA India has established itself as an organization with intense value and consistency based on the foundation of inclusion and network of support to boost and mould you into an humanistic icon, she said.

The horizon is wide and the exposure is vast. It is not just the glamour of fashion show. It embraces individual from all age groups and genders, inculcate trainings, soft skill enhancement and value addition throughout the journey for all who want to make a difference in the society and be a mentor to those around them, she added.

The motive behind the PAN India beauty pageant 2021 is to spread the message -prevention is better than cure for breast cancer and cervical cancer.
