Covid-19 active cases rise to 2384 in Manipur

Imphal: With the confirmation of 448 new Covid-19 cases at the positivity rate of 15.2 percent, active cases in Manipur has been increased to 2384 even as 66 Covid patients were recovered on Thursday.
Two Covid-19 patients belonging to Imphal East and Imphal West districts expired. Both of them had co-morbidities and not vaccinated as per state Covid-19 common control room.
The cumulative number of deaths was 2017.
The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (72), Imphal West (201), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (15), Kakchhig (9), Kangpokpi (7), Jiribam (22), Ulduul (2), Tamenglong (4), Senapati (4), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (66) and CAPF (33).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,28,679 and the recovery rate is 96.58 percent, it added.
Covid Hospital Bed status
The number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered on Wednesday was 7403. The cumulative doses was 2411098 (1st dose of 1374632, 2nd dose of 1026082 and precautionary dose of 10384).
