Eklavya school closed as students tested positive for Covid-19

Imphal: Eklavya Model Residential School of Kangpokpi district has shut indefinitely as Covid-19 has infected among students of the school on Tuesday.

The principal cum secretary of the school Dr. Ngamkhohao Haokip notified this on Wednesday.

In order to contain further spread of the virus to family and villages of the students, those students tested positive shall be isolated in the school hostels for seven days and those students tested negative shall be sent home for Home Isolation, the principal said.

The school shall be closed indefinitely with immediate effect until further notification, the notification said.

All the parents whose wards are sent home should take all precautionary measures and follow Covid-19 SOP and Guideline for Home Isolation for a minimum period of seven) days.
