Covid-19 claims 3 lives, infects 411 persons

Imphal: Manipur on Sunday reported three Covid-19 related deaths, 411 new Covid cases and 134 recovered cases pushing the active cases to 3413.

One of the death cases belonged to Imphal West and two belonged to Churachandpur.

“Out of 3 deaths, 2 of them had co-morbidities and all of them had 2nd dose of Covid vaccine,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of deaths stood at 2025.

Of the new cases 52 belonged to Central Armed Police Force and the remaining belonged to Imphal East (81), Imphal West (164), Thoubal (26), Bishnupur (11), Kakching (16), Kangpokpi (4), Jiribarn (3), Noney (3), Ulthrul (1), Tengnoupal (11), Senapati (2), andel (9) and Churachandpur (28).

All necessary medical precaution, measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,30,072. The recovery rate is 95.82 percent, it added.

Covid Hosoital Bed status

The number of doses of Covid 19 vaccthe administered on Saturday was 7544. The cumulative doses was 2435513 (1st dose of 1388190, 2nd dose of 1032444 and precautionary dose of 14879).
